DESCRIPTION:Being a correspondent in China means working under state surveillance\, most of which happens digitally these days. To protect your information and most importantly\, your sources\, it’s paramount to pay attention to cybersecurity and harden your devices. \nFellow FCCC member and cybersecurity buff Marc Hofer will educate us how to do just that. In this in-person workshop\, you will learn about basic technologies that will make your digital communications safer. You are encouraged to bring your devices and set them up on the spot under Marc’s guidance. There will be opportunities to answer specific questions\, of course! \nThis event is for correspondents only and suitable both for newcomers to China who are setting up their cybersecurity for the first time\, as well as for seasoned colleagues who want to update their knowledge. \n
