In this recent report\, Allen analyzes DeepSeek’s origins and achievements\, the success and trajectory of Huawei’s chipmaking capabilities despite U.S. restrictions\, and the key geopolitical challenges facing U.S. and allied policymakers. With Huawei’s increasing capabilities\, reflected in the success of DeepSeek\, Allen will discuss his recommendations for how the U.S. can maintain its advantage in the U.S.-China AI Race. \nAbout the Speaker: Gregory C. Allen is the director of the Wadhwani AI Center at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) where he leads a team of scholars researching AI policy\, governance\, diplomacy\, geopolitics\, and national security.
