Join the new FCCC board for a happy hour drink and a talk with Mary Kay Magistad.

“Life after China”  Prize-winning radio journalist (and former FCCC president) Mary Kay Magistad left Beijing several years ago but hasn’t left China behind. Join the creator and host of “Whose Century is It?” for a wide-ranging discussion on China, the U.S., radio vs podcasts, and much more.

Mary Kay Magistad founded the NPR bureau in Beijing, covered East Asia for BBC’s The World, and has reported from 40 countries in over two decades of journalism. She won the Scripps-Howard National Journalism Award for her coverage of stem cell research in China, and the Overseas Press Club award for her series on only children coming of age. She now hosts “Whose Century Is It?” from San Francisco, but hasn’t yet broadcast the episode where she concludes the future belongs to the FCCC.

Moderator Lucy Hornby is deputy bureau chief for the Financial Times in Beijing.
