Xi Jinping and the party leadership are facing a number of domestic challenges from the fallout from the anti-corruption campaign to a slowing economy.

Internationally, the war of words between Washington and Pyongyang, has created fresh uncertainties in the region.

What will this Congress tell us about Xi Jinping’s consolidation of power? And what are we likely to learn about China’s future foreign policy and its willingness to assert its notions of territorial integrity?

On the eve of the 19th Party Congress, join Jean-Pierre Cabestan for a SKYPE presentation briefing live from Hong Kong and Q&A.
