Hohot, 21.2.2015
We were invited to the home of Hada, the Mongolian intellectual and dissident. His son and wife picked us up, but “guards” prevented us from entering the building under the pretense of “registering,” which we did. Then police, in uniforms and plainclothes came and asked us to register at the police HQ. We were told to wait there until a decision was made. They checked our passports and press cards. Then we were taken to the airport and had to fly back to Beijing under duress.
